Fido fence is a lightweight, retractable dog enclosure designed specifically for caravaning and camping.
It creates a temporary enclosure alongside your caravan, camper or motorhome, giving your dog room to relax, explore and be part of the adventure without being tied to a lead.

So, what exactly is Fido Fence?
Fido Fence uses retractable heavy duty PVC mesh fence panels reinforced with fibreglass rods and lightweight support poles to create and enclosed outdoor area beside your van.
Your caravan forms one side of the enclosed area, while Fido Fence creates the remaining area. Either your annexe skirt (pictured) or the included lightweight mesh barrier can be used to close the gap under your van.
The panels retract away when you are finished making the system easy to setup and also pack down and transport between campsites.

How does it work?
1. Connect to your van
Fido fence connects to discrete mounting brackets installed low on the caravan for quick attachment.
For vans where normal mounting is too high or where you don't want a permanent bracket choose our tall van option instead for additional freestanding poles to use against the van.
2. Position poles and extend fence
Position the lightweight poles around your campsite, peg them in and extend the retractable fence panels between them.
The panels create the perimeter without needing to transport multiple full sized rigid fence sections.
3. Secure the bottom of fence and Van
Built in peg down points and included bungees allow the lower edge of the fence to be secured if required, helping prevent curious puppys from pushing underneath.
You can secure the underside of your caravan either with your own annexe skirt or with the included lightweight caravan skirt.
4. Sit back and relax
And that's it!
Your dog gets to wander, lie in the sun, play with their toys or have a nap, and you get to do the same!

Choose the setup that matches your van

Standard Van Setup
Choose this option when the fence mounting position on your van is BELOW 600mm from the ground. The fence connects directly to your caravan via the included mounting brackets.

Tall Van Setup
Choose this option when the fence mounting position on your van is ABOVE 600mm from the ground or you do not want a permanent connection point on your van. The fence connects to freestanding poles that are pegged into the ground beside your van so the fence remains at the correct operating height.

We're a husband and wife team who loves travelling with our two dogs, Beau and Pepe.
We got sick of tangled leads, tripping over ropes and making sure the doggos didn't wander too far away from camp.
We went looking for something lightweight, compact and easy to setup and packup and couldn't find anything... so we made it ourselves!
Fido Fence has been developed around the way we travel with our own dogs and it has been designed and is assembled right here in Tasmania.
